Pricing and Programming

We have years of experience in quantity surveying and our rates are continually being updated and advised, asssuring the client of market related, realistic and competetive rates.

Hayward Construction have the ability and resources to manufacture and/or provide some services normally contracted out to sub-contractors, such as stainless steel fabrication of security gates, balustrades and staircases, concrete swimming pools, landscaping, water features, customised carpentry etc.  This not only minimises the amount of different sub-contractors on site but is of great financial benefit to the client as the middleman is being taken out of the equation.

With all successful tenders, clients are presented with a ‘Provisional Building Forecast’ as well as a ‘Cash Flow Forecast’.  Although these are provisional documents and do not take unforseen circumstances into account, the building forecast enables the client to have a clearer understanding of how we intend to manage their particular project, how long each stage will take and is a useful guideline for the client to know what decisions should be finalised at what stage.

The Cash Flow Forecast will give the client an idea of when to expect to receive a Progress payment request and what funds should be made available at what stage.  In conjunction with the building forecast the client should be able to ascertain exactly what he is paying for.

Where a Bill of Quantities is unavailable and the tender is priced directly from the plans only, we submit our tenders with great detail, with quantities listed for each item pertaining to the project.  This enables both parties to have clarity on exactly what has been allowed for in the tender.

Quality Control

Hayward Construction has earned a reputation for high quality projects with superior finishes.  Terence Hayward routinely inspects all building sites and requires the foreman for each site to have up to date reports on progress and quality checks.  Only the highest quality and finest finish is accepted and the fact that our cleints utilise our servives repatedly tells us we’re on the right track.

Our workforce is acclimatised to working under strict building guidelines and neatness is a priority to all involved. Our staff are not only proud to be a part of Hayward Construction but of their personal achievements during their time with the company as well.  This ownership is due to the fact  90% of them have been with the company since its inception and its this pride that is evident in the quality of our projects.

Labour Resources

Hayward Construction has always utilised their own skilled and semi skilled labour, most of which have been working for the company since its inception.  Many of the skilled artisans began as labourers and semi-skilled artisans.  With the encouragement of management, they have over the years, furthered their skills and honed their craft of choice and thereby, not only increased the skilled workforce, but improved the lives of their families and themselves.

All Hayward Construction staff are required to be in company issued uniform at all times.  The uniforms are all clearly identifiable by the company logo – this goes a long way in eliminating unauthorised access of unknown individuals onto building sites.

  Health and Safety

We strive to practice all required safety precautions as required by the Department of Labour.  Each site is equipped with a First Aid Box and we have 1 x Level 3 First Aider as well as 1 x Level 6 Emergency Care Practitioner.
